"She means what you need to do to complete your quest." Bramble replied.
Syn nodded in agreement. "She knows all."

Syn laughed. "Our queen told us, told us to go find you and bring you here. She knows everything, I told you."

"Our queen's name is Saeliril." Bramble explained as they walked.
Elyria noticed behind them, several fairies were following them curiously.

"She strict." Syn muttered under her breath cheekily.
"Syn!" Bramble scolded her. "She's just very...regal."

"Exactly!" Syn laughed, perching on his shoulder again.
"Syn! Be quiet!" Bramble hissed as they entered through a curtain of hanging vines and into a long, narrow clearing, with several paths going off from each side into the density of the trees. At the northern end of the main path, there sat an elaborate throne covered in creeping vines atop a set of wide stone steps which rose it above everything else. A human-sized woman with long, plaited blonde hair sat in the throne. Syn and Bramble flew ahead and situated themselves either side of her.

Merden stepped in, eyeing her carefully "I am King Merden Liftwark of the southern drow"

"I know who you are." Came the queen's reply, as she rose to her feet and descended the stone steps, holding out a gloved hand to him.

Merden took the hand carefully and shook it "I felt it was courtasy to say so anyway, though Syn and Bramble had told me you know everything"

"Hmm. They do flatter me." A small, knowing smile appeared on her lips, and she turned her attention to Elyria. "And the elven queen." They bowed their heads simultaneously, before Saeliril took her place back on her throne. "Tell me, both of you, how goes your quest so far?"

"Dont you know?" Merden chuckled "Its progresses, albeit slower than i had hoped. You wouldnt by any chance know what causes the deadly fog would you?"

"If you are hoping to dispell it, I am afraid you would be wasting your time." The queen replied. "The fog is backed by a magic far greater than any other I have encountered. Anyway, there is no connection between it and the poisoning of your rivers. Why would you wish to be rid of the fog if that is the case?"

"Its more a curiosity about its origins than a wish to be rid of it" Olek shrugged "So, do you know what is the cause of the posion?"

Saeliril sighed and rested her chin in her hand. "I am afraid Syn and Bramble flatter me too much, my knowledge is not infinate as they might have percieved to you. So far I have been unable to pin point a source of the poison."
