Raines eyes flashed red as she pushed some hair out of her eyes. It was raining again, so she had been forced to wear her old cloak, which was beginning to look a little worse for wear. She was walking down an empty street, the midnight moon casting an eerie glow at her surroundings, throwing them into shadows and blocking some areas totally from view. Raine however, wasn't interested, she knew her way, and she wasn't the type of girl to get scared that easily.
Her boots made soft noises as she took a step onto an uneven stoney path. Looking around,s he drew her cloak closer around her, as the evening breeze forced her to shiver. CLosing her eyes, she took a deep breath and continued on her way. She saw a raven fly out of a tree, and held up her hand. The beautiful creature swooped low, landing on it softly. Stroking its feathers gently, she quickened her pace, she didn't have long left.
A sharp 'caw' from her raven told her that someone was near. Stopping suddenly, she listened to the wind whistling around her as she starined her ears for movement. She could see no movement, not even the trees swayed and no small rodents roamed the floor. Trustin gher bird, she said, without turning aroun, "So, what are you doing out this late?"
SHe hoped her bird was correct otherwise she would look very stupid indeed. Heaving a small sigh, she waited tentively for a responce, wondering who on earth would be out at this hour, and for what purposes.
